Desert Collectors, a new reality show set in the goldfields of Western Australia, is to receive funding from the Kalgoorlie – Boulder council as local support grows for the team behind the series.
Born and bred in the region, series producer Nigel Quick owns Starcity Memorabila and is passionate about collecting and his home town. Desert Collectors not only showcases amazing collections but also the unique landscape, people and beauty of the region.
It’s no surprise that the show has been nominated for both a Tourism Award and Business of the Year award, at this years Goldfields Business and Employee awards. The Chamber of Commerce presentation evening will be held this Saturday the 20th August and all fingers are crossed for Desert Collectors.
Currently in production and set to air in Australia later in the year, Desert Collectors follows Nigel Quick and Norm Clark as they unearth some of the most amazing collections in Australia. From automobiles to shoes, Desert Collectors brings both the collections and their stories to life and introduces some unique and exciting characters along the way.
The series has already gained an impressive social media following and now locals are getting on board at ground level, supporting the series which they hope will bring new life to the region.
